Exams and Periods

We understand how difficult it can be to manage periods and have important exams coming up!

Periods can be really debilitating, especially if you have Endometriosis.

Prepare

If there is a chance that you might start around your exams, take a little ‘kit’ into the exam with you, with tampons/pads and painkillers etc.

Think Ahead

If you know you normally get bad cramps, consider taking a painkiller preventatively rather than waiting for severe pain during the exam/s.

Eat & Hydrate

Try to eat some protein at breakfast to keep you fuller for longer, take a cereal bar into the exam for additional energy, and drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

Comfort

Wear comfortable clothing which isn’t tight around your waist and groin. Period pants are also a great underwear option as they’re both comfortable and protect you from any surprise periods.
