The ICAEW ACA syllabus has been reviewed and updated: it’s the biggest change to the syllabus in 30 years!
Key information you should know:
It comes into effect September 2025
If you begin studying from July 2025, you will be studying the new syllabus
Students who register up to 30 June 2025 will have the opportunity to complete the current ACA qualification or, alternatively, transfer to the new qualification subject to the transition rules
14 exams (not 15!)
Greater focus on sustainability, ethics and technology
A new sustainability and ethics exam at certificate level
You will still need to complete 450 days professional work experience
Students will need to complete a minimum of 30 units of Specialised Learning on an e-learning platform (new!)
