If I was doing an accountancy apprenticeship again, from the start, I’d make sure to...
Look at the year ahead to consider if I need to use some annual leave to study. I’d block out college and any study leave in my work calendar, ensuring my team knows well in advance.
Review the syllabus FIRST to identify the areas that carry the majority of the marks, and start my study there. I’d try to split my study time by the weighting of these marks.
I’d reach out for support earlier e.g. through Accountancy Hub! There are private tutors, mentors and exam coaches willing you to succeed!
I’d not compare myself to others e.g. if a friend understands technical information really fast or someone passes with 91%. I’d focus on me, my progress and enjoying the learning.
